I’m about to head home for Thanksgiving, but before I do, here are some reasons I’m thankful this year, as they revolve around baseball:

“Pie” has a whole new connotation.

We didn’t trade for Santana. Still.

I’m glad the Yankees have tons of money. Seriously. CC, AJ and Teixeira have been amazing.

I’m thankful that Cashman was able to commit highway robbery of the White Sox and nab the Yanks Swisher for Wilson Betemit.

The team avoided the doctor’s office for any extended period of time, Nady and Wang excepting.

I paid way too much in terms of ticket prices, but this year’s team actually won more games than they lost.

I’m sure there’s more–but I gotta go catch a train.
