Hello! (it's bexarama)

I guess I sort of understand where the whining is coming from, even if I don't agree with it. 2004 made our fanbase generally completely loony until this year, especially because the too-early playoff exits in 2006 and 2007 - partially due to some bad hops here and there, whereas in 1996-2003 we had an INCREDIBLE amount of GOOD luck - convinced people the Yankees were "cursed." I hope it will stop to some degree.

But there was a whole lot of awesome in those "drought" years. How can you say they were failures? Every team gets their awesome moments; Randy Johnson pitched his perfect game in a year where his team went 51-111. We just get a lot more awesome moments than most fans do, and people endlessly complaining about a season being a "waste" because it didn't end in champagne and a trip down the Canyon of Heroes is totally annoying. It's kinda why Yankee fans have such a bad rep. When really, we are quite awesome and sophisticated. ;)
