When Cashman took over baseball operations, the first area in player development was to stock pile pitchers and catchers, and he was very successful in doing so….That being said, position players are next on the model and as you pointed out it’s rather thin….I would have thought somewhere in this process finding and drafting a SS for 2012 would have taken place already……Rebecca, by the way I thought your LoHud piece was outstanding….We hope to see you soon over there, you are missed……

Actually, I think that if Johnson went down, it’d be Juan Miranda that got the lion’s share of at-bats. You’d probably see Winn/Hoffman/Cervelli inserted into the lineup for lefties, but generally speaking, Miranda’s the best fit.
