In this article, a Philadelphia columnist calls on Philadelphia pitchers to hit Yankees.
Never mind any potential injury risk, but this columnist thinks it’s a good idea for the Yankees to put baserunners on against Joe Blanton in a series in which the Yankees are currently up two games to one.
Right.
I realize that sportsmanship is an antiquated concept when one is talking about any sporting event that involves New York and Philadelphia, but you’d like to think that the media is better than that.
At any rate, it seems like this columnist hasn’t been watching the series–both Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez have been plunked by Philadelphia pitchers.
More to come after the game.

I was at the Stadium tonight, and when Rodriguez hit that double in the ninth, it sounded like the place was sold out.
Looking for a good place in NYC to watch the rest of the series. I hit up Blondies during the CS and thought it was great. Any other recommendations?
