You can watch a live webcam of sod being laid at PNC field, the home of the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees.
As you might remember, the unusual amount of rain created such serious problems for the Yanks’ AAA affiliate this summer that they had to play some home games at Lehigh Valley and Syracuse.
No word on whether or not the real issue–the poor drainage beneath the field–has been replaced or on whether or not this field is just a temporary fix.
At any rate, the problem was so bad last summer that the team had to do something in the off season. In case you were wondering–yes, the field was really that bad.
