I dont think trading cano is as crazy as you are making it to be. I understand keeping him but the yankees should see where his value is right now and see if they can get a good deal.
I agree that we should not trade Cano. If we do, who replaces him at 2B? Also, in a year that we are probably going to lose 2 lefthanded bats, you don’t trade another one away. If the Phillies want to trade Utley straight up….I would consider it but that isn’t going to happen.
I disagree with where your Halladay deal starts. Teams are not trading multiple A level prospects. It didn’t happen with Lee and it didn’t happen with Santana. And it didn’t happen with Victor Martinez. Montero wouldn’t be in that deal.
The Yankees need a number 5 hitter behind ARod…..it would be nice if Cano could step up but I’m not sure they don’t have to go after someone in FA. Holliday seems too expensive though.
