The Yanks’ need for another quality starter is urgent enough that I don’t think we can rule out trading Cano. Not for Halladay, who is just a year away from free agency. But if we can pry Felix Hernandez away from the Mariners, and Cano has to be part of the deal, I would support it. That would mean getting King Felix two full seasons before free agency and establishing a killer starting rotation, while assigning Joba to the bullpen where he belongs.

Point #1-well noted. Too many Yankees fans think the team can get a star player for a farm-hand reject.
